March Workshops

March 7, Saturday, 2PM: Waxed Fabric for Food Storage

  • Come join us Saturday, March 7 at 2pm for a Waxed Fabric for Food Storage workshop. Participants will learn how to make waxed fabric that can be used in place of saran wrap. It is reuseable and sustainable. 
  • All materials are included. 
  • Class starts at 2PM, and will run for about 2 hours. Space is limited, a pre-paid class fee ($25) will reserve your spot (click here to register). 

 

March 10, Tuesday, 5:30-7:30: Project Night

  • Bring your work in progress and hang out with fellow fiber artists. 
  • Light refreshments and coffee/tea provided. 

 

March 14, Saturday, 10AM-1PM: Duneland Weaver's Guild

  • Monthly meeting of the Duneland Weaver's Guild - newcomers are welcome!
  • Dagmar Klos, a teacher at the Fine Line, will give a presentation on an in-depth loom at various fibers.  

 

March 24, Tuesday, 5:30-7:30: Project Night

March 29, Saturday: Felted Flowers Workshop

  • Felted Flowers Workshop - make bright beautiful fantasy/funky flowers with fiber. Flowers are created from 2 felted layers connected via a center circular base, incorporating dyed bits of gauze and optional embellishment with hand stitching using embroidery floss. In this class, we aren't making stems or leaves, just the flower. These can be used as embellishments for hats, garments, or can even be mounted and framed - the possibilities are endless. 
  • Students will create two, maybe three flowers.
  • Class starts at 10:30AM, and will run for about 4 hours. Space is limited, a pre-paid class fee ($65) will reserve your spot (click here to register).
