All classes are scheduled one-on-one, based on your availability.
Covers basics of floor loom functioning and weaving.
Students will complete a project that is approximately 36 inches long by 18-12 inches wide - this could be a rug, a hand towel, two placemats, a short tablerunner, or a piece of fabric that can be used for a pillow cover or a cowl - the possibilities are endless. Materials (cotton yarn warp and weft suitable to the project) will be provided. Class will be on looms pre-warped with 8/4 cotton. Students are welcome to use a material other than the provided weft, but they must bring it to the class (or purchase it at the time of the class).
This course is a pre-requisite for reserving studio time on a floor loom. (In some situations, waivers will be provided).
